5/11/2023 0 Comments Vampire academy spirit![]() ![]() I was expecting richelle's thoughts to be longer and I don't know, maybe some extra bits like 'Did you know Rose was supposed to be a dark blonde with blue eyes named Saphira?' or maybe a lesson plan of the Moroi's magic class? Stuff that have happened outside the books would have been interesting to share. there is basically no 'new' information, most of the details are lifted exactly/almost exactly from the vampire academy books But beware of spoilers because this book is a very precise recount of the vampire academy series like you get the entire vampire academy 6 book series compiled into 200 over pages which may not seem a lot but then you realize that the ultimate guide is only about 280 pages long so. I think the book would be ideal for people who have read the first book of the series and are unsure about continuing the series. The book should be titled the ultimate vampire academy summary. ![]() I was disappointed to say the least and I LOVE vampire academy. ![]()

( Rodriguez died in 2012.) Seeing it again on-screen in 2021, I found that Rodriguez’s Mission Street drawing still packs a visual punch-but as Stern makes clear in the film, that punch lands very differently now than it did during Rodriguez’s lifetime. That Mission Street drawing is one of the first images in Bad Attitude: The Art of Spain Rodriguez, a brilliant new documentary directed by journalist and filmmaker Susan Stern, who also happens to be Rodriguez’s widow. This essay was adapted from the Alta newsletter, delivered every Thursday. This wasn’t your everyday “kid comics.” This was something different. ![]() I loved Rodriguez’s attention to detail, his thick lines interspersed with intricate cross-hatching. It was so graphically pleasing, it practically popped off the page. Having lived in that neighborhood as a child, I immediately recognized the intersection. Rodriguez’s piece was the center spread of this particular issue, an incredibly detailed rendering of a section of San Francisco’s Mission Street that blew me away. It was in the mid-1970s and I was 15 years old, sitting in some mind-numbing class while sneaking a read or two from under my binder of the underground comics anthology Arcade: The Comics Revue #2. I can still vividly recall the very first time that I saw the work of Spain Rodriguez. ![]() 5/10/2023 0 Comments The Flash by Geoff Johns![]() Geoff received the Wizard Fan Award for Breakout Talent of 2002 and Writer of the Year for 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 as well as the CBG Writer of the Year 2003 thru 2005, 2007 and CBG Best Comic Book Series for JSA 2001 thru 2005.
